Uh...wut.

For $900 I'm almost curious enough to try it

This line is great:
"RUNS ON PROPANE, but is set up to be able to switch to gas at the flip of a switch. Doesn't work however"
Don't flip the switch.

Propane trucks are pretty popular where I came furm (Bumblefuck, NM)

I can't tell you how happy it makes me that he included this as a selling point:
White racing stripe going down the middle of the truck over the hood, roof and down the tailgate. Adds roughly 5 horse power.
LOL
Also, LPG is a great fuel source. Cool truck imo.

"White racing stripe going down the middle of the truck over the hood, roof and down the tailgate. Adds roughly 5 horse power."
Lulz.
Also propane conversion is popular for off road trucks, as it will work at off-angles were carburetion won't.

900 for a road legal truck is automatic np. I'm not sure if this truck would be road legal in your state. In Maine, no problem.

So are you saying I should buy it?
How far can you drive on a tank of propane?

I'd rather have this V10 propane Crown Vic:

That's not that uncommon for trucks of that vintage. When I was younger, and these trucks newer and more plentiful, I often saw these with the extra propane conversion.

I'm not positive. I don't know mileage on such things lol
I just know that functionality wise, LPG is perfectly fine. I just have NO IDEA where you would fill up...other than at the King of the Hill dude's place of business, haha.
Also mad props to the guy for putting a 4 ball on the 4x4 shifter.

How do I even know if it's road legal?
Cheap trucks are pretty much a dime a dozen around here though, like these:

They probably are unless the frame or body is severely rusted.

Those weren't even the best examples, just ones I happened to stumble on in a hurry.
I've seen some decent trucks for $1000 or so, one of these days I'll hop on one.

I'm slowly trying to convince the wife we need to add a truck to the stable. Since my toy is a truck I don't think I'll be successful.

I could use one. If I find a boxy S10 in decent condition for cheap, I'm probably going to jump on it. I have a soft spot for them and it would match my Sonic well.
I'd like something to get some experience working on cars, I really haven't done anything beyond bolting on an intake and rotating tires...

My rat rod is on an s-10 frame.

I thought so. I'm not as cool as you, so if I buy one it will remain an S10
![]() 02/21/2014 at 10:42 |

Nothing wrong with that. I've got a soft spot for s-10s. So does Montegoman.

Propane prices are through the roof here in MI because of the cold winter.

I blame a neighbor of mine. He has a pretty nice black S10 with manual, and I have to walk past it to get the mail. So much want

"The truck does have a braking problem. "
That seems like a serious problem with that much power under the hood...

Pfft, what are you talking about? It'll be fine. Here, hold my beer.
